The dateline is at the bottom and it is not very noticeable at all. It only says the month and year though as it is a monthly magazine so there is no need for writing down the day. It is also near the barcode, this may be because the editors could have considered it not as important as the rest of the magazine.
The main image is a picture of the actress Zooey Deschanel. It is right in the middle of the magazine and she is making direct eye contact with the camera and therefore with the reader. This may entice the reader in by making it feel more personal. She is also wearing clothes that match the background, by wearing blue and having a blue background it sets off a very neutral tone to the magazine. This tone could also be considered as being very relaxing to the reader which could be a reason as to why they chose this colour scheme. She has golden coloured accessories on which could be to match the yellow writing of the masthead and some of the coverlines. The image overlaps the masthead, which shows that even if a lot of the masthead is covered, people would still know what this magazine is, just by the few letters that are on show. This implies that the magazine is highly popular and well known, especially by a female audience.
All of the coverlines are roughly the same size, which is unusual as there is commonly a main coverline which is bolder and bigger than the rest. There are six coverlines, around the main image, none of them are massively distracting from the main image, however, they are big and noticeable enough to be seen. The titles of the coverlines pop out more than the description as they are in a different colour, for example the 'Dress Cuter for Work' is in a vivid yellow, which matches the 'GLAMOUR' masthead.
